About the role
SmartAC.com is looking for a cloud software engineer deep with experience developing and architecting scaled solutions in AWS. You will bring a strong technical foundation and innovative mindset to help us develop and grow our IoT and cloud processing systems. As part of the team, you will be responsible for:
  • Optimizing ingestion of time-series IoT telemetry from our sensors in the field
  • Architect and develop scaled/distributed processing solutions for HVAC analytics
  • Create and deploy new algorithmic functions to detect conditions
  • Assist Data Science team with model implementations and processing infrastructure
  • Enhance overall AWS infrastructure for scale and growth
    • A successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical and design skills to deliver business value in a fast-paced environment in a growing organization. You are self-driven, communicate and collaborate effectively with different technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you can adapt at mentoring junior colleagues to encourage best practices within the software team.
    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years as a professional software developer, java and Node.js
  • Experience in real-time data ingestion and distributed processing
  • Mastery of AWS platform tools and Serverless applications like Lambda, Kinesis, EMR, Apache Spark, Flink, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, API Gateway, IoT Core, EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch
  • Mastery of Git, Unit Test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience operating services in Linux environment
    • Preferred Qualification
  • Participated in Machine Learning projects
  • Experience with AWS IoT Core, Events and Analytics
